Gamgee is the smallest pony at Tillington Stables, but don’t be fooled — he’s full of personality and firmly believes he’s much bigger than he is! Over the years, this wonderful little pony has taught countless children to ride, giving them confidence, laughter, and unforgettable memories along the way.
A much-loved part of the family, Gamgee was ridden and competed by us when we were much younger and since then has proudly attended Pony Club with a handful of our customers. He’s a loving, jolly, and spirited character who never fails to bring joy and a giggle wherever he goes.
Now semi-retired, Gamgee enjoys a quieter pace of life, taking part in the occasional half-hour ride and being thoroughly spoilt during pony mornings, where he’s always a favourite. It’s always a sad day when the children inevitably grow out of Gamgee. He may be older now, but he still has the heart and spirit of a young gelding, a trait I doubt he will ever lose!
Gamgee happily lives alongside; Blueberry, DaisyMay, Ella and Missie.
