Pony Mornings & Camps

During the school holidays we offer fun sessions for the children where they can learn about our ponies, play games and, of course, ride.

Special Activity Pony Mornings

During the school holidays we run very popular pony mornings where the children get some hands on experience with the ponies whilst having fun. They learn how to safely and correctly handle the ponies and practice key skills like putting head collars on, tying up, grooming, tacking up etc. We cover aspects of looking after the ponies such as feeding and health. The children usually get a chance to do some bareback riding during these mornings.
The pony mornings are quite often seasonally themed such as Christmas pony mornings where the children do all of the above and get to dip in the bran tub for a Christmas present, Easter pony mornings where we include an exciting treasure hunt with Easter eggs and a spooky Halloween pony morning where the children dress up with a prize for the best fancy dress and bob apples!
The children are always thrilled to get a rosette to take home with them.

We run a two-day camp in the summer half term and three-day summer camps in the summer holidays consisting of stable management and riding.

As well as learning and practising stable management, the children ride twice each day, learning and practising a handy pony obstacle course and show-jumping to their abilities with a competition on the last day.
