Rhett is a gorgeous chestnut gelding, and a much-loved member of the Tillington Stables family. Bought from The Billy Stud as a four-year-old, he belongs to Abbie’s youngest daughter, Honey, and the two have been learning and growing together ever since.

Honey often says that Rhett has been teaching her just as much as she’s been teaching him — and it’s true! He’s an extremely trusting and honest horse, the kind who wouldn’t intentionally hurt a fly. Though we often joke that he can be a little dopey at times, we wouldn’t have him any other way.

Rhett is not part of our licensed riding school, but as a personal horse, he’s an absolute joy to have around. He’s amazingly talented over jumps and thrives when showjumping, always eager and full of enthusiasm. Young, bouncy, and inquisitive, Rhett loves exploring (sometimes a bit too much — he’s been known to try and wander into driveways when given half the chance!).

Honey affectionately calls him “Tigger”, after the lovable character from Winnie the Pooh — full of energy, curiosity, and fun (and of course orange). Rhett adores being ridden, learning new things, and continues to develop into a truly special and talented horse.

Rhett lives out in a field with; Clonea, Crunchie, George, Henry, Samson, Willow and Winston.
